Capital and Largest city : Helsinki; Swedish: Helsingfors, is the capital and largest city in Finland. It is in the region of Uusimaa, located in southern Finland, on the shore of the Gulf of Finland.
Official Language :
Finnish and Swedish are the ”national” languages of Finland, with mostly equal status in the jurisdiction, although Finnish dominates in most parts of the country. The ”other domestic language” is studied in the compulsory education and bilinguality is quite common in the bilingual parts of the country.
Climate:
Finland has a humid and cool semi continental climate, characterized by warm summers and freezing winters. The climate type in southern Finland is north temperate climate. Winters of southern Finland are usually 4 months long, and the snow typically covers the land from middle of December to early April.
Religion :
Approximately four million (73.9%) Finns are members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.The second largest group, accounting for 23.5% of the population has no religious affiliation. A small minority belong to the Finnish Orthodox Church. That is why the main religions in Finland are Lutheranism and Eastern Orthodoxy.

The population of Finland was estimated as 5,190,785. The population growth rate is a very small percent and generally has been small. Finland has a high proportion of elderly.

Finland's currency is the Euro (EUR) , made up of 100 cents. Banknotes come in denominations of 500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10 and 5 euros, and coins in denominations of 1 and 2 euros, and 50, 20, 10, and 5 cents.
